My use of mixed media represents the complexity of my personal experiences and desire to make sense of my existence. I choose to combine abstract, organic forms, textures, bold colours and pattern designs to demonstrate my search for harmony, balance, and rhythm- which are essential to my work.
I am an American mixed media artist who lives in Swindon, Wiltshire, England.
My interest in Art began at an early age-from making clothes for my Barbie dolls, to borrowing How to Draw books at the local library, to then being fascinated with shiny coloured papers which I used to create abstract collages.
I studied Art at the High School of Music and Art and Textile Surface Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, both in New York.
I later received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree as well as a certification in Art Education at New Jersey City University in New Jersey.
While creating and exhibiting my artwork in the New York and New Jersey area, I have taught Art in Jersey City, Bayonne and Hoboken to children ages 3-18.
Since making the move to England with my husband and son, I have exhibited in Swindon, Bradford on Avon and Newbury. Currently, I teach Art part time at a local primary school while staying creative.
